Merchant of Venice

Friday at last! Today's class schedule was not too strenuous as we had another group present their topic on the Merchant of Venice (comparing the movie we watched with the play). There was some interesting insight on Merchant of Venice and common themes of gifts that I would never have noticed without critically analyze for it. After, we reviewed for our test for Monday we then watched Babette's Feast. This was a very interesting movie about gift and sacrifice. I was skeptical on how interesting this movie would be, but I enjoyed it. It seems to have a very sad but inspirational ending.
